Eosinophilic Esophagitis Clinic

The Devora Center conducts a special clinic for children and adults with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). The clinic is staffed with a registered dietitian for guidance with special dietary needs. We also work closely with both adult and pediatric gastroenterologists to make sure your entire team is constant communication to provide you with the best possible care.

During your consult visit, you will see Dr. Devora for a comprehensive history and physical exam. He will go over eosinophilic esophagitis in great detail.

We understand that every patient is different. We will provide you with an evidence-based treatment protocol that will be tailored specifically for you.

If you are started on a 6-food elimination diet, we recommend you meet with our registered dietitian for guidance with the diet. Not only is it important to avoid the 6 foods, but it is equally important to understand which foods you can safely substitute to maintain adequate caloric intake and meet nutritional needs. This will greatly enhance your ability to follow the diet.

Consults for eosinophilic esophagitis often take over 2 hours, if food allergy testing and the registered dietitian are seen during the consult. Therefore, available appointment times are limited for the comprehensive eosinophilic esophagitis clinic.
